This problem will occur if your system has DEP (Data Execution Prevention) enabled (it's enabled as default in server 2008). That's because of the software protection package we are using has conflict with it. You can exclude FTP Synchronizer from the DEP settings of Windows or simply disable the DEP. It will NOT influence any functionality of FTP Synchronizer.
Please try following steps to disable DEP or add FTP Synchronizer to the exclusion filter:
*Right click on My Computer
*Click on Properties
*Click on the Advanced tab
*Click on the Settings button in the Performance section
*Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab
